Our Mission
Whimpers to Wags Rescue, located in Colorado Springs, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, small dog rescue. We are an all volunteer organization. Our mission is to identify and rescue small dogs at risk from abandonment, abuse, neglect or euthanasia and provide a safe haven in loving dedicated foster homes while rehabilitating, spaying/neutering and providing medical care. Through a comprehensive adoption application and home visits we place our dogs in committed and successful forever homes allowing them to live long, happy lives. We are determined to educate the community on proper and responsible dog ownership, and promote the advantages of adoption.
Volunteer Work / Allocation of Funds
100% of funds for Whimpers to Wags will be utilized for the rescue, feeding and care of the dogs as well as the administration and marketing of the adoption process. All services and activities provided by Whimpers To Wags Rescue, Inc. will be provided 100% by volunteers who do not receive compensation for their time. Where Are Our Rescues Housed?
Dogs rescued by Whimpers to Wags will be placed in Foster Homes where they will receive personal care and attention. Foster homes benefit the dogs as they allow for increased socialization. They also decrease the trauma a dog may undergo when kenneled for a lengthy time in a large facility. If you are interested in fostering, please contact us.
